Prusa Releases ENCLOSED CoreXY MACHINE

Prusa, a giant in the 3D printing industry, announced today that they will be releasing a new CoreXY machine to add to their collection, called the Prusa CORE One. This is only their second CoreXY machine, following the massive Prusa XL. This machine will also launch as second in price, just a hundred dollars more expensive than the Prusa MK4S, a bedslinger. For only a hundred dollars more than that machine, you get an enclosed printer capable of reaching high speeds, all while maintaining impeccable quality. This printer seems like the obvious choice for beginners looking to get into the Prusa ecosystem. It is great performance for the price, and comes with advanced features.

The CORE One comes standard with clever software integration with Prusa Connect, Prusa’s cloud printing and management solution which allows for easy remote access everywhere. Built in within that app is Printables, an uber popular model sharing website also made by Prusa. Prusa has also stressed that this app is incredibly secure and safe for users. Additionally, they have also said that users have the option to print completely offline if they wish to do so, and that no functionality will be lost in doing so.

In addition to the cloud, on paper, this machine looks to be just as impressive. As and enclosed CoreXY machine with active temperature control and forged from steel, there will be high expectations for this machine. It outperforms the MK4S almost all measurable categories, with added compatibility for some features. It still maintains compatibility with the MMU3 as well. This product could become the building block for a new line of Prusa printers that push the industry forward!

But the most stunning part of it all is that users who own a MK4S will be able to transform and upgrade that printer into this new CoreXY printer, which is a feat of engineering on it’s own. Additionally, this kit will not be overly expensive coming in at under $500!

This machine will become available in January 2025, as per Prusa’s website. The machine is available to buy assembled or as a kit to build the printer yourself which takes at least a full day of work. The upgrade kit for upgrading from MK4S will become available with the launch of the printer! The price of the Prusa CORE One is $1,199 for an assembled version and $949 for the kit.

All in all, this is a wonderful new release to join the Prusa family, backed by the same strong reliability and customer service that we know and love Prusa for. This is further accentuated by their commitment to being able to upgrade to the next generation, which is seen flourishing in this instance!
